Whoa: Sen. Wicker says he once hired alleged ricin letter mailer as Elvis impersonator

Authorities arrested Paul Kevin Curtis yesterday in connection with ricin-laced letters mailed to Washington, D.C, including one sent to the office of Sen. Roger Wicker. In addition to being an alleged criminal, Curtis, of Corinth, Mississippi, is also an Elvis impersonator. And according to several media outlets, Wicker once hired Curtis for his services:

Senator Wicker tells reporters he had met the Elvis impersonator – and suspect – before. He hired him for a party once.

RICIN SUSPECT more: Wicker said that he and some other couples hired the man as an Elvis impersonator at a party about 10 yrs ago.

Wow RT @scottwongdc: Wicker just said ricin suspect came from his hometown, impersonated Elvis at a party he hosted for a couple.

Because the past few days couldn’t get any weirder: Roger Wicker & others once hired suspected ricin letter-mailer as Elvis impersonator

WICKER: told us suspect “was more stable then”.

Yeah, we can see why he might say that.

Wicker concedes Ricin suspect/faux Elvis was “quite entertaining” but says it’s his impression “since that time he’s had mental issues”

Turned out Roger Wicker’s Elvis impersonator was the devil in disguise.
